Inspections only on paper. 70-year-old with allegations and threat of a prison
On June 10, 2025, police from the Corruption Department of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Łódź, based on the decisions of the District Prosecutor in Zgierz, conducted a search at the diagnostic station and the place of residence of the woman. A 70-year diagnostician was detained, which accepted property benefits for confirming technical inspections of vehicles that were not actually carried out.

Dangerous consequences of the practice
A woman’s actions could lead to dangerous road situations because vehicles whose technical condition was not verified were allowed to move. Policemen secured several dozen registration documents, technical inspection certificates, IT media and records from the diagnostic station monitoring.
The woman heard allegations of accepting property benefits and to certify untruth in documents. She is punishable by up to 8 years imprisonment for these crimes. The prosecutor applied police supervision and suspension in practicing the profession of diagnostician.
