Innocent until a judge has knocked in the table

The tour plan is full, the performances roll out there, and the audience laughs in the tent cloth, as they have done for generations.

But behind the scenes in Denmark’s largest circus, a serious case awaits the courts.

According to the prosecution, nine people from Georgia have been working illegally in the Circus Arena for over five months. The company behind the Circus, International Entertainment ApS, as well as director Benny Berdino-Olsen, is now accused of violating the Aliens Act under « particularly aggravating circumstances. »

The reason for the indictment is, according to the charge, that the alleged violations should have been committed with overlays, as part of business operations and with the aim of making financial gain. The Copenhagen Police require a fine of DKK 2.7 million.

In the midst of the seriousness of the case, the circus tent continues to rise in town by city. Bubber, who again this year hosts the performances, is quietly related to the development of the case:

« It’s a pending case and I have no idea ‘a clap’. I just know that the Circus Arena is a good place. I make performances and that’s what I do. Until there is a judge who has knocked in the table, everyone is innocent. They have 70 years on the back, and there has never been anything. work, ”he says to Extra Bladet.
