A Brussels influencer has received a driving ban of no less than 17.5 years. Adil.Gofast regularly post videos online which shows how he races through the capital at high speeds with rented cars. The man also received a fine of more than 25,000 euros.

The Brussels public prosecutor’s office opened an investigation in May 2023 after films had appeared on social media of a motorist who filmed himself while driving through the traffic at high speed. After an analysis of his account on Instagram, it turned out that the man would have rented dozens of sports cars that are registered in Poland and Germany. According to the Brussels public prosecutor, it was clear that the man was patching the traffic rules on his boot.

The public prosecutor lifted heavily to the fact that the man had recently put new videos online, despite the fact that he had been summoned to appear before the police court and had even been in jail for a while at the start of the investigation. « He posted another video in April in which he drove an Audi to more than 100 km/h through the tunnels in Brussels. »

Maximum sentence

The public prosecutor asked the police judge to impose the maximum sentence, which also happened. The defendant was found guilty of thirteen indictments in absentia and received three riding prohibitions of 5 years, two driving bans of 1 year and one of 6 months. In addition, he also received various fines for a total amount of 25,600 euros. The man must also take all his driving exams again and also take medical and psychological tests.
