The total aid will be EUR 268 million. According to Nikos Dendias, confirming yesterday’s « NEWS » information, about 60% of the aid comes from the savings created by the ministry by rationalizing the structure, part of which was part of the retirements.

From this savings, the state budget holds € 8 million. « The budgetary impact is neutral for the budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, » the defense minister said.

The remaining 40% is part of the government’s general income policy that has already been announced. Dendias pointed out that he was undergoing a plan to strengthen income and political staff of the Ministry of National Defense. The reform will continue and the savings will expand so that the result will be re -established today.

« We want our executives to live proudly, as the home is proud of them. Our executives are not allowed to go into « honest misery », « the minister pointed out.

Another motivation is expected to be the fact of building housing for every executive and his family postponed from the border service. There are already 1,000 houses in the Aegean and Thrace islands and will be ready in 2026, while an additional 4,000 houses are being built by 2030. The program will continue, with the aim of constructing 1,000 houses each year.

« The reform with the » Agenda 2030 « code we are radically changing the armed forces of our country. The purpose is to shield Greece against any threat. The change is about everything.

The structure and function of the armed forces. The acquisition of modern media and modern weapon systems.

The formation of a new, completely differentiated preventive doctrine.

The introduction of innovation to the Armed Forces, with the new Directorate of Innovation and the Hellenic Center for Defense Innovation, ELKAK. The creation of a new generation of communications with the acquisition of communication satellite.

Creating a new Command & Control system with artificial intelligence. The participation of the Greek Defense Ecosystems with at least 25% in the new equipment programs, « Nikos Dendias stressed and added:

« As has happened in other countries, the Armed Forces are now becoming a growth lever of the economy. They cease to be just a consumer of public money. The Greek taxpayer’s backlog is transformed into advanced technology starts rather than consumption in canteens in the region of junk camps. «
