Inconsistencies will bit on students
Failure to use a coordinated examination for enrollment in upper secondary schools and there is no normal consistency in the assessment between compulsory schools, there is a likelihood that applicants for school accommodation in upper secondary schools will not be equal in the stronghold, in opposition to law and good administrative practice.

According to the legal opinion in question, this situation difference, which results in inconsistencies in the final grades of compulsory school, may mean that students will actually receive unequal treatment for enrollment in upper secondary school. It is stated in the opinion that there is no effective monitoring of real consistency in the rating between individual compulsory schools.
Co -ordinated survey exams have not been submitted in the country’s elementary schools since 2022, but before that the exams had not been used for reference for enrollment in upper secondary schools for a long time. According to a study by the Institute of Education from 2022, 35% of students live in the fact that their compulsory school rating is considerably lower or higher than it had been in other schools.
Encourages the agent to start a study
Björn Brynjúlfur Björnsson says in the day today that the current arrangement violates the non -discrimination principle, which can be found in both the Constitution and in the administrative law, as rating is very different by schools.
Björn says there is a full occasion for the Ombudsman for Parliament to initiate an initiative investigation into the matter and subsequently calls for answers from the ministry on how to respond to the content of the opinion.
According to Björn, the Minister of Education and Children’s Affairs has not agreed to meet with the Chamber of Commerce because of the situation.
