Dad, Dad, see Luka Modric. Prices also have Luka Modric’s cards, and up to 2000 euros, and among the many exhibitors, we also met Marijana from Murska Sobota, who has more than a hundred signature cards with a signature card Luke Doncic.

– The most expensive card I have is with Luka Doncic’s character, stands 6500 euros. He signed a few cards to me, I was too big a porch, so my wife took him to sign. The most expensive card I had was with Cristiano Ronaldo’s signature, I sold it for 13,500 euros, but it was during Koron, today is worth up to 20,000 euros – he told us.

When you think he can’t do better, more than 1500 visitors surprised legendary Croatian footballer Niko Kranjcar, who arrived at the fair as a special guest. Many of them were waiting for him, patiently waiting for a signature, a photo, or to exchanged a word with their idol. This special day for all collectors was also celebrated by Dinamo Branko Pavic and Nikola Cavlina.

– This is the second Zagreb Card show, the largest exhibition in the region, we have exhibitors from Croatia, BiH, Serbia, Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, Germany and Italy. Collectors from all parts of Europe arrived. The exhibition was organized by Trading Cards Club, as an official distributor of Topps products. We’ve been working on this all year, but for the last week it’s pretty intense. In addition to a rich offer, we also have a sweepstakes, and HNS secured a Signature Luka Modric jersey for the main prize. We cooperate with Dinamo and them, and the biggest challenge is to agree on the arrival of special guests, which is why people come to such fairs most. This became a serious story, five years ago there were five, six of us who were collecting cards in Croatia. As Topps entered the market last year, we opened the door to sports cards to the wider audience, today we have a big market. – Ivan Gaspert tells us, one of the organizers.

Such items have an invaluable value so it is not asked for the price. Large amounts are spent on this hobby, it can be made a lot of money, but our collectors are not engaged in this for money. It is a passion that is difficult to describe.

– There are many, rare Pokemon cards, and in some booths it is worth up to several hundred thousand euros. This fair is held once a year, but it is a huge interest, so our plan is to be twice a year. We want to organize something similar to Split, Osijek, Rijeka – Ivan tells us.

He himself is a collector of different sports subjects, the thumbnails have been collecting for 11 years, and he especially dates back to a poster signed by the legendary Diego Maradona. Not only that, for three days he hung out with one of the greatest football players in history.

– I met him in 2017 in Zagreb during the Davis Cup final between Croatia and Argentina. His English was not the best, but we talked about tennis, football, Fidel Castro who died at the time. There is a charisma, it was comfortable with him. The experience I will remember all my life.
