In three weeks more than 10,000 tax returns filled out online

The aim of this was to encourage taxpayers to fill out their explanation online. Because for the tax year 2023, only 9.4 percent of tax returns were submitted with the electronic assistant from MyGuichet. And in 2024 the number of 10,000 was only exceeded after three months. « At this point, the submissions in PDF format were higher than the submissions about the electronic assistant, » said the tax administration.
According to the administration, the use of the assistant offers many advantages, including time savings, since the first registration a few fields are filled in, such as the name, address, children or salary and pension. « Thanks to the advance filling, fewer data must be entered in the next tax return, and in simple tax situations, taxpayers receive their tax return within two weeks. »
The risk of errors is also minimized because some data come directly from employers or public institutions. The taxpayer can then check their correctness. In addition, online access enables quick and safe administration.
