The couple in the photo are Americans of Sicilian origin Frank and Josephine Rudzhirerelllo. They married Detroit on September 26, 1953. For 67 years of marriage, a couple had five children, nine grandchildren and two great -grandchildren. Frank died in 2020, Josephine-in 2023.

« They were very proud of their Sicilian origin and family traditions. Grandma and grandfather played a huge role in my life and appreciated family and unity above all.

We are very sad for them, and it was so cool and unexpected – to get such a reminder. Feeling as if they came to us and said, « Hi everyone! » The grandson shared.

She said that Frank was a truck driver and always worked a lot to be an example for his children and grandchildren.

« They appreciated education – both came from very modest segments of the population and were not able to join the college themselves. Grandpa and grandmother were very proud that all five of their children graduated from Michigan University, » Said Sarah.

Now Sarah is about to put light in the frame and hang at home.
