However, the schoolboy did not want to manually review the available data to find new objects and describe them. In addition to astronomy, Mateto was interested in artificial intelligence, so he decided to use it for his work.

The young man used his in -depth knowledge of mathematics and coding to create machine learning techniques that could find previously unknown spaces of space in the course of analyzing a large set of data.

The student’s mentor introduced him to other astronomers who shared with him the experience of machine learning for astronomy.

In 2024, Matteo improved the created artificial intelligence model to analyze the untreated data of the Wise infrared orbital television television.

The algorithm was taught to identify small differences in radiation, which has revealed and classified 1.5 million potential new objects. The complete catalog of these bodies Matteo and Devi Kirepatrick are planned to be published in 2025.

« My model can be used for other time space studies in astronomy and perhaps anything else that comes in time format »– says the schoolboy.
