Two weekends of sufferers were evacuated, says the Lapland Rescue Service. The rescue service has evacuated a total of seven from the park.
“They (rescue tasks) have been exceptionally many in recent days,” the firefighter on duty Timo Nyholm says to STT.

Previously, the wellness area of Lapland reported that at least one of the illnesses was revealed to be caused by Norovirus.

“We still hope that people will not make overnight excursions,” Aikio says.
He also advises to avoid breaks. So far, no routes or breaks are closed.
