Nine countries, including fourteen boxers in our country, competed for the A. Šocikas tournament trophies.

E. Skurdelis won a record tenth in his career in the title of winner of A. Šocikas tournament.

The four final duels were won by guests – Moldovan Catalin Turcu (up to 50 kg), Turkish Samet Gumuš (up to 55 kg) and Leyent Haluk Can (up to 75 kg), Scot Leo Church (up to 65 kg).

The favorite needed a medical profession

The bronze was held by Kaunas residents Raimundas Trapulionis (up to 55 kg), Nedas Gudomskas and Jacob Arkadiyev (both – up to 65 kg), Vilnius Alexander Petrovski (up to 60 kg), Tauragian Lukas Steponaitis (up to 85 kg) and Vilnius Povilas (90).

A. Trofimčiukas was selected as the most technical boxer of the tournament.

The Australian mood was overshadowed by the painful failure of their favorite Fred Zzin (up to 65 kg). In the quarter -finals, a physically strong fighter knocked out the Turkish Doganay Ozurk, defeated Kaunas Gudomsk in the semifinals, but in the finals with Scotland boxer L. Church, he did not finish the third round: without defending the hail stumbled in the ring.
