At the Majori Beach Stadium, where a week later, the beach volleyball professional tour (BPT) « Futures » series tournament will take place, the competition will take place from Friday to Sunday.

39 pairs of women have been applied for the men’s competition. Men will also have European champions Plavin and Fokerot, who have finished fifth in two rounds of the BPT « Elite 16 » this year. One of the last competitions in his rich beach volleyball career will be played by Alexander Samoilov, starting with his brother Mikhail Samoilov.

The ranks will include Ardis Daniels Bedrītis with Arthur Rinkevich, Karlis Jaundžeikars with Matisse Shalkovski, and experienced Arnis Reliņš and Marcis Jirgensons. The special invitation in the Main Event this time has been Latvian champion in volleyball Matisse Gabdullin, who will play with Martins Eglīte. In the qualifying competition, a former Plavinas companion Harald Regga has been announced with Andi Schwager.

This year’s NCAA champion Deniel Konstantinov will play in the women’s competition with Liva ēber, second NCAA champion Anete Namiķe along with Varvar Brailko, as well as promising Monika Mamaja/Alice Alexane, Rezija Puškundze/Deneva Siaberg, Paula Krieva/Amelija Kotāne Adamsone. One Lithuanian women’s duo is also welcome.

The race will start with a qualifying tournament for men on Friday from 12 noon, with the first round of group games for men, on Saturday this morning will continue with the group games and the first round of the playoffs, but on Sunday the day will start with the quarterfinals and closed with the winners of the men’s and women’s competition.

This season, volleyball players from the Depo Open beach volleyball players compete in four rounds and the finals, where the cash prize pool will be twice as high. At all stages, games are held outside Riga, continuing to cover the regions of Latvia, and both men and women participate in all stages. As in previous seasons, players from other countries are invited to participate in all stages, except for the finals.
