On Friday, the club delegation will go to the « Francisc Neuman » arena, for the match with Sepsi, with a modern tram. Astra Vagoane Călători SA and the Public Transport Company Arad make available to the « old lady » an Imperio Civitas wagon personalized in white-red for the City Hall-UTA. The departure of the players and the technical staff will be made at 18:10, from the ‘zero kilometer’ of the city.

The Aradean club was established on April 18, 1945 by Baron Francisc Neuman. Ita, as was the first name of the team, won two titles in 1947 and 1948, an unforgettable year of the Aradean event, when he also obtained the Romanian Cup. Two other titles entered the Aradean showcase, in 1950 and 1954, and another Cup of Romania, in ’53. The end of the 1970s brought a new gold formula, according to the club’s website, the one formed by Coco Dumitrescu and Ioan Reinhardt, with Domide, Brosovszky, Axente, Lereter, Biro and the others in the foreground. Two titles won UTA then, in 1969 and 1970, followed by the beautiful adventures in Europe. On September 30, 1970, in Arad it was recorded ‘the eighth wonder of the world’, UTA eliminated from the European Champions Cup on the giants of Feyenoord Rotterdam, after 1-1 on the Batav land and 0-0 at home. The first relegation in history came in 1979. The club was promoting in 1981, 1993 or 2001, and the most consistent revival occurred in the summer of 2020, when UTA again promoted on the first stage. For five years, for the first time since the relegation in 1979, « old lady » is also in the elite of Romanian football.
