In search of Germany for drug trafficking, the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office seizes the assets of a citizen

The Tirana Prosecutor’s Office has seized the assets of a citizen who has been declared wanted by the German authorities for drug trafficking.

Under investigation in Germany for ‘Production and sale of narcotics’, the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office seizes the assets of the ID citizen in Albania

At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Tirana, the assets of the citizen ID were seized, declared internationally wanted by Interpol Wiesbaden, Germany, for the offenses of ‘narcotics trafficking’ and ‘holding and sale of combat weapons and ammunition provided by the German Criminal Code.

In the framework of the property investigation No.01, dated 17.01.2024, the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Tirana has established that the above citizen is under investigation by the German authorities for the criminal offense of “Traffic of Narcotics”, a criminal offense which is subject to Law No. 10192.

From the property investigation for the citizen ID and his family for the period 2011-2024, it resulted that the value of this citizen’s income is less than the total value of the investments and personal expenses made by him.

Considering the results of the property investigations carried out in connection with the citizen ID and his relatives, it is proven that he was involved in the criminal activity ‘narcotics trafficking’ and from this activity has created assets that are not justified by the level of income and the legal activity of this citizen.

For these reasons, under the law « On the prevention and crackdown on organized crime, trafficking and corruption through preventive measures against property », the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of General Jurisdiction, Tirana requested the seizure of assets and the court accepted the seizure of the following assets:

– Real estate No.116/27, Type of 850 m2 SIP in Zall Herr Tirana;

– Apartment wealth, with surface.113.8m2, divided into surface.77.7m2 net, 11.3m2 common area and 24.8m2 veranda; AND

– Unit asset, with a gross area of ​​98.8m2, as well as 2 parking posts with P53 and P54 numbers, ordered under the contract.
