In Russia, after the Ukrainian drone attack, the electronics factory / day is burning
According to Chuvashia’s leader Oleg Nikolaev, the factory has stopped operating after the impact. The « Kometa » manufactured machines are used to protect the drones of the Russian armed forces from the actions of the Ukrainian radio electronic fighting tools.
« Two unmanned aircraft fell in VNIIR, which made the decision to temporarily suspend production to ensure the safety of the employees. Another unmanned aircraft fell in Cheboksari and Krasnarmeika’s municipalities in the countryside – people were not in danger, » Nikolaev said.
The official did not mention the consequences of the attack at the factory, just stating that there were no victims and all services were working in an enhanced mode.
However, many photos and videos have been published on the Telegram channel Astra showing a fire in the factory.
« VNIIR-PROGRESS » is part of the « ABS Elektro » association. As stated on the company’s website, it develops and manufactures « scientific technical products, software and hardware complexes, automation and control systems, electrical products, electronic component base, electronic modules and radioelectronic products ».
