In Rivne region the guy stole flowers from a memorial ceiling to give them to a girl

In the Rivne region, the guy stole flowers from the ceiling in honor of the fallen defenders of Ukraine to give them to his girlfriend and ask her after a quarrel.

The offender was administered administrative protocol. This was reported in Police of Rivne region and Mizotsky settlement council.

On April 23, a 54-year-old resident of Mizoch village approached the police. She reported that the unknown stole artificial and fresh flowers from the ceiling in honor of the fallen defenders of Ukraine.

Thanks to video surveillance cameras, police quickly installed the attacker. He turned out to be a 19-year-old resident of the Zdbytsky community.

The new moon said that he stole the flowers to make guilty in front of his girlfriend with whom he quarreled the day before.

The police say that earlier the guy repeatedly got into the field of view of law enforcement officers for committing administrative and criminal offenses.

For the abduction of flowers, it was an administrative protocol under part 2 of Article 51 of the Code of Administrative Offenses – a small theft of another’s property.

The sanction of the article provides for different punishment options:

• imposition of a fine of 100 to 300 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (1700-5100 UAH);

• community service for a term of 30 to 40 hours;

• correctional work for a term up to one month, with a deduction of 20% of earnings;

• Administrative arrest for a term of 5 to 10 days.

The village council noted that the guy was genuinely repented and apologized for the committed.

The case file was sent to court.
