In Novosibirsk, former police officers were justified on charges of killing a schoolgirl
The scandal ended with the consideration of the resonant criminal case of former employees of the Novosibirsk police Maxim Kudryavtsev and Evgeny Bartolomey. According to the materials of the investigation, in the spring of 2010, their car shot down a 15-year-old schoolgirl. To hide the accident, law enforcement officers pushed the girl into the trunk, and then killed – her body has not yet been found. On the main accusation, the murder and abduction of a person -defendants was acquitted in connection with the failure of the crime event. Instead of 18 years, as the prosecutor demanded for the ex-sibs, they received the deadlines, from the serving of which they were released due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.
On June 10, the consideration of the murder of schoolgirl Natalia M., which former police officers Maxim Kudryavtsev and Evgeny Bartolome, was completed in the Novosibirsk Regional Court on June 10.
15-year-old Natalia disappeared in the village of Yarkul (Ust-Tarksky District) on March 2, 2010. The girl was returning from the disco, but did not return home. Several weeks of searching for results were not brought. Then a criminal case of murder was opened in the Investigative Committee (Article 105 of the Criminal Code). In August 2023, suspects appeared in it – Maxim Kudryavtsev and Evgeny Bartolome, who had already quit from organs. The first at the time of the incriminated events served as an assistant to the head of the local police department, the second worked as a criminal investigation officer.
Depending on the role and degree of participation, they were charged under Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules in a state of intoxication, resulting in serious harm to health), Art. 286 of the Criminal Code (abuse of authority), Art. 126 of the Criminal Code (abduction of man) and Art. 105 of the Criminal Code (murder). Ex-militias were detained.
According to investigators, in the evening of March 2, 2010, the white Volga, which was ruled by the supposedly drunk Maxim Kudryavtsev, shot down a schoolgirl. Together with his colleague Evgeny Bartolomey, who was in the car, they decided to hide the traces of the incident. The policemen stuffed the girl who had lost consciousness into the trunk and took away. “Taking advantage of the helpless state of the victim, the accused killed her, and the corpse was hidden in an unidentified place in the village of Yelanka in the Ust-Tark district, which is the territory of Bartolomey’s operational service,” the investigation said.
Note that on the outskirts of this village, in 2011, a hand was found, presumably, missing a girl. However, they did not have time to conduct the examination of the remains, and soon the evidence that was stored in the box disappeared without a trace, the sources told Kommersant.
Since the girl’s body could not be detected, a method of murder was not established.
Former police officers did not plead guilty. According to them, at the time of the accident, they were in another place. Initially, the accused petitioned for the trial with the participation of jury, but later they recalled the petition, and the case was listened to the judge alone.
During the consideration of the case, a scandal occurred. The key witness of the prosecution abandoned her testimonies to ex-militants. In the investigation, she claimed that she was in a car with law enforcement officers and saw how they shot down a girl and put her in the trunk. “I chatted in a state of intoxication, I wanted to look at the reaction. When the police arrived, I did not know what to say, I was under pressure, I came up with everything myself, but in court I can’t lie in court, ”the court press service quoted the witness.
As Olga Librikht, the head of the prosecutor’s office of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Novosibirsk Region, told Kommersant, the state prosecution requested the defendants for 18 years in prison. Today, former law enforcement officers were sentenced. The girl’s parents did not come to the final court hearing.
According to the court, the trial found that in March 2010, Maxim Kudryavtsev, in the Volga car, shot down a schoolgirl, who died at the scene of the incident from injuries.
Evgenia Bartolome was found guilty that he did not report what happened to law enforcement agencies and did not detain his colleague. Instead, he hid the fact of an accident and took measures to conceal the body of a schoolgirl. For a fatal accident, Maxim Kudryavtsev was given three years of colony-settlement, Evgeny Bartolome for abuse of authority-a year less. Both were immediately released from punishment in connection with the expiration of the statute of limitations.
On charges of the murder and abduction of a girl, former police officers were completely acquitted with the wording « in connection with the failure of the crime event. » They received the right to rehabilitation and compensation for material and non -pecuniary damage. Whether the parties will appeal the verdict is still unknown.
