In Novi Sad protests of high school students from Serbia against online testing
In the second largest city in Serbia, high school students will be protested today against the online teaching. They were joined by their peers from several cities in the country that arrived on foot or bicycles, MIA’s correspondent in Belgrade said.
Thousands of high school students from all over Serbia gathered last night in front of the Novi Sad train station, where they paid tribute to the victims who died at the site of November 1 last year after a concrete overhang collapsed.
The « Online Not a Solution » protest begins today at 11:52 am and will last until midnight. High school students from several cities will speak at the protest, and professors will also address students.
The protest was high school students from Belgrade, Zrenjanin, Subotica, Sabac, Obrenovac, Uzice, Valjevo, Loznica, Cacak, Gornji Milanovac, Pozarevac, Bajina Basta and other cities. According to organizers, over 1,000 high school students from different parts of the country are expected. The largest group of about 650 candidates arrived from Belgrade last night.
« Let’s show an example of what we are fighting for this time, » high school students from Novi Sad said, inviting everyone to join them on April 26.
