The premiere took place on 05.03.2024 at the Estonia National Opera.
Choreographer Christiano Priest and art producer Sander Sellin (Estonian ballet agency) created a unique concept uniting the dancers of four leading European ballet troupes with local artists of the Estonian national ballet. The international troupe will divide the scene in a full -length fairy -tale ballet, embodying a completely new production of Cinderella.
“Cinderella” according to the fairy tale Charles Perrault became one of the most famous and favorite works in the ballet world. The production tells the story of a young girl named Cinderella, a pure and kind soul who lives, locked in everyday affairs with his evil stepmother and consolidated sisters. However, on one special day, the magic of her Fairy-Crust leads her directly to the royal ball, where she meets the beautiful prince, and a magical connection arises between them.
The Ballet “Cinderella” is known for its exciting choreography, romantic and comic scenes and amazing costumes. The music of Sergei Prokofiev inspirationally conveys the emotions and atmosphere of a fairy tale, making Cinderella an unforgettable performance, alluring spectators and touching his heart with his beauty and magic.
The production contains a pronounced classical choreography, as a tribute to the excellent heritage, which Petipa left our generation, as well as a slight neoclassical bias inherent in each stage work of the choreographer Christiano principle.
The story of love and fairy -tale transformations captivates the audience of all ages and reminds of the power of good in our world – good things always happen with good people.
