In mutual funds of six billion euros in assets

In Slovenia, we are saving more in mutual investment funds, with joint funds in them at the end of last month amounted to more than six billion euros. The assets in the funds thus increased by around € 700 million, and the increment could be even greater if there were no courses in the world stock markets last month, it comes from data presented by the director of the Association for Investment Fund Management Companies Mira K. Veljić.

NLB Skladi, Triglav Funds, Sava Infond, General Investments and Primorska Funds managed 71 mutual funds at the end of March. The payments of them increased record last year, totaling almost € 900 million, payments with more than € 350 million have also been the highest so far, and this trend continues this year. In total, there are already about 345,000 investors in the funds, at the end of last year, the average value of the investor was worth a good 1300 euros. The number of savers according to the savings plans is also increasing, at the end of last year there were 80,720, and the value of a savings plan per saver amounted to EUR 528.

While paying into mutual funds have been steadily increasing in recent years, most Slovenian savings are still poorly interested in banks, the President of the Board of Directors of the Association for Management and the CEO of Triglav Skladi warned of investment preferences of citizens. Benjamin Jošar. Namely, the structure of the financial assets of Slovenian households shows that at the end of last year we had the highest amount of funds in cash, inspection and other banking applications (38.6 billion euros or 45 percent), followed by equity with shares and shares in companies (24.4 billion and 29 percent), insurance and pension schemes (9.8 billion and 11 percent), etc. Household investments in investment fund units amounted to only 5.4 billion or six percent of financial assets, which means that there are still many investment opportunities in this area, says Jošar.
