President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a Decree on the Establishment on May 27 by the Day of Special Operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Details: The decree enters into force on the day of its publication.
The MCO reminds that on this day in 2014, the soldiers of the special purpose regiments, the future SCO, together with the brothers from other components of the defense forces conducted an operation to release the new terminal of Donetsk airport from enemy troops and installed the flag of Ukraine.
The previous decree of the President of Ukraine of July 26, 2016 No. 311/2016 « On the Day of Special Operations forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine » loses power.
A separate order of the commander of the SCO Major General Alexander Trepak, the date of July 29 was determined by the Day of Honoring the fallen soldiers of special operations.
