Korca promotion of the Socialist Party candidates for the May 11th parliamentary elections for the Korca constituency.
Based on the agreement with the Macedonian Party for European Integration (MAEI) on the open list of MPs in this constituency is Vasil Sterjovski, leader of the party.
Political Head of the Socialist Party for County Korca and MP from this constituency, Nico Peleshi, presented the candidates for MPs and said that « this is the winning team that will be the voice of every citizen in the Albanian Assembly ».
« With a dedicated team ready to promote the projects and reforms that made Korca a success story, we continue on the road to the fourth term for European Albania, » Peleshi said.
Peleshi also presented Sterjovski, calling him « an important voice for the Macedonian community in Albania and a dedicated figure in the political and academic public ».
– In this election, the municipality of Pustec inhabited by Macedonian population will represent the best son of Prespa, Vasil Sterjovski, who is president of the Macedonian Alliance for European Integration Party. This is the only party to coalition with this election because for us the Macedonian community is important. This cooperation is evidence of mutual appreciation and respect, as well as an important step towards strengthening the political representation of the Macedonian community and all citizens of this region – said Peleshi.
He added that Sterjovski is « an educated and valuable young man, a former MP, proven as a politician and pedagogue ».
« We will work together for the good of the Macedonians in Prespa, Golo Brdo and Gora and for the entire beautiful Macedonian community in Albania, » Peleshi said.
Sterjovski was born on May 17, 1982 in Korca. Works as a professor at the University of Fan Noli in Korca, he is a PhD at the St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. He is married and is the father of two children.
The Maei leader has been in 2019, MP has been in the previous parliament and is the first Macedonian MP to publicly declared himself a Macedonian. At one of the plenary sessions he addressed the MPs in Macedonian, which was a historical achievement of the Macedonians.
