In Klaipeda near containers – a bunch of lesions
The people of Klaipeda were shocked by the image on Debrecen Street 84. There is a mountain of garbage – toys, furniture, cardboard boxes and other waste near the garbage containers.
Residents believe that such garbagers should be made public, otherwise the garbage will have to be paid to the whole house.
In another place, two mattresses were discarded on Debrecen Street, and they are also left at the garbage containers.
Arūnas Liubinavičius, Project Manager at Klaipėda Regional Waste Management Center (KRATC), said that mattresses or pillows are bulky waste that cannot be left anywhere.
« Mattresses or pillows are not textile waste. It contains textile unless the sheath is, but the fillers can be varied (fluff, latex, metal springs, etc.). In any case, it is a bulky waste that must be delivered to KRATC’s large waste reception sites. Electronics, childish inventory and other containers are an administrative violation of law, so the information is transferred to Klaipeda municipality.

Klaipeda residents have at least three opportunities to get rid of the big waste.
« In addition to the sites where this waste is accepted for free, a special machine that accepts coarse waste is coming to the courtyards of the residents twice a year. Also a house administrator or community chairman from KRATC can order a large container specifically for this waste collection.
