In Kiev, due to the threat of a terrorist attack, the location of the LGBTK+ lecture was postponed within this year The moon of pride (Pride Month).
This was reported in the « KyivPride » and cultural space « Whale » at the VDNG, where the event was to be held.
They said that the lecture had to be postponed because of the « potential threat of terrorist attack » and « threats of aggressive persons ». In addition, the organizers declared pressure from police officers who « created conditions » that made an event in the planned place.
”This year, police have done everything to cancel our event. Even intimidated by the VDNG and representatives of the Kita pavilion were intimidated– say in a public organization.
They added that national police representatives appealed to the organizers demanding to move the event a day before the event. Therefore, « KyivPride » faced considerable difficulties, because in such a short time it is impossible to find another location « impossible ».

« We have chosen a location near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs because it is a key governmental body that supports LGBTik+ rights and helps to improve the human rights situation in Ukraine.
We are currently finalizing the updated schedule, but in any case we will gather in a warm circle of like-minded people and allies and talk about what is important for all of us, ” – the organizers reported.
