« We walked the path, and then yawned and then picked up from all the stones around this. When she rubbed him by removing the sand we saw – he’s special « – said the older sister of the girl Omer.

In the end, the « stone » was handed over to the experts of the Antiquity Department. Scientists have found that artifact is a seal of ancient Egypt, which was created about 3800 years ago.

The three -year -old historic finder was awarded the certificate of gratitude for conscientious citizenship.

« Ziv and her family deserve praise for giving the find to the experts. Thanks to her now everyone will be able to see and enjoy the ancient artifact »– said the Director of the Israeli Antiquities Department, Eli Eskido.

An expert from ancient amulets and seals, Doctor Daphn Bentor explained that the find of the yawn was a Khananskaya scarab, which was created in the Middle Bronze Age. In ancient Egypt, this beetle was considered sacred. At that time, people believed that scarab was a symbol of a new life, because it plant eggs in a ball with manure, giving birth to a new life.

« During this period, the scarab was used as seals and amulets. They were found in graves, public buildings and private homes. Sometimes they are symbols that reflect religious beliefs or status »– the scientist explained.

The name of the scarab in Egyptian comes from the words « emerge » or « be created ». All because the ancient Egyptians considered this beetle a symbol of the embodiment of the creator.

The seal was found not in a random place, but near the ruins of the ancient city, in which scientists had previously found artifacts of different cultures. The former Tel Azec settlement is considered a key part of the biblical history of the battle between David and Goliath.

« We have excavated for almost 15 years here, and the results show that in the Middle and late bronze era, one of the most important cities of the Jewish lowland flourished here »,-said the head of archaeological excavations of Tel-Aviv University of Oded Lipshitz.

The scarab, whom the girl found, will be presented to the public at a special exhibition together with other artifacts of the Egyptian and Khanan epochs.

« The seal found by little sat down with the majestic history of ancient civilizations that lived on these lands thousands of years ago. Scarabi also reminds us that even children can be part of the discovery of history »– says scientist Oded Lipshitz.

Recall that in June 2024 a farmer from Norway found Rare weapons of the Vikings during the overgrowth of the abandoned area of the Earth – the age of the sword for more than a thousand years.
