In industrial constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the volume of useful electricity leave has increased
In 2024, in 41 out of 57 industrial constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the volume of useful electricity leave increased, followed by a fresh study of ARKRA « A useful indicator illuminates the dynamics of industry in the regions of Russia. » The agency uses the indicator to indirect assessment of the dynamics of production demand in the energy -intensive sectors of the economy. Its largest increase was noted in the Samara region due to the revival of the automotive industry: the production index was 128%. Also in the top three – the Kostroma region and Karelia. In the first case, growth is also associated with the restoration of the automotive industry and woodworking, in the second – with an increase in production.
At the same time, in 16 regions a decrease in vacation volumes was recorded. The most significant is in the Smolensk region, where he sagged Khimprom (index – 92.6%). In the Tomsk region, the fall amounted to 34%, but it caused the redistribution of shares between energy -bust organizations.
According to ARRA, the structure of electricity consumption in the regions is increasingly dependent on the industry shift towards less energy -intensive industries. So, in the Kaliningrad region, against the background of a decline in engineering and metallurgy, the share of consumption in the food industry increased-from 35% in 2021 to 60% in 2023, and, despite the total growth in industrial production index, the volume of released electricity continued to decline.
The agency divides the regions in terms of the level of industry adaptation to new conditions: in the first group, subjects with a high degree of adaptation, where the volume of useful electricity leave in the last three years either has not declined or decreased only in 2022 (see schedule); In the second – those where the restoration began only in 2024 (moderate degree of adaptation), in the third – regions without a stable recovery trend. In a three -year retrospective, more than half of the regions that showed growth last year returned to the level of 2021. Among the most stable are the Kostroma, Sakhalin and Irkutsk regions. It is noted that in some regions the growth of energy consumption took place against the backdrop of a decrease in output in key sectors, which is explained by the connection of new objects of small business and the housing sector.
Akra emphasizes: the release of electricity is sensitive to economic activity in industrial regions – but in interpretation it requires accounting for factors that are not always directly related to the volume of release, such as changes in the energy sequence structure and industry transformations.
