Lower Saliby. The farm in Dolni Saliba in the Galanta district is suspected of the occurrence of the disease Slintečka and Krivačka. Awaiting test results.
TASR was confirmed on Tuesday afternoon by the Central Director of the State Veterinary and Food Administration of the Slovak Republic Martin Chudý.
The city of Galanta first confirmed on the social network of the infection, but then the post disappeared. There was a crisis crew in the city.
« Based on expert recommendations, it is necessary to follow extraordinary emergency measures that are valid throughout the Slovak Republic until further notice, » wrote the city of Galanta on the social network.
However, the chief veterinarian of the Slovak Republic Chudý said TASR that it is currently only a suspicion of the occurrence of the disease on this farm.
Slintečka and Krivačka is still confirmed in the breeds of cattle in three villages in the south of Slovakia – in Medveďov, Nnáda and Bake. The disease apparently came to Slovakia from Hungary.
In the district of Dunajská Streda, an extraordinary situation has been announced from Friday evening. It is a serious, highly contagious, acute, feverish viral disease of livestock with significant economic impacts.
