From June 1 to the end of August, 2025, a bathing season was officially opened on the Narva City Beach in Joero, the Department of City Economy reports on the city’s website.

The sanitary quality of water is controlled by the Estonian Health Department in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Social Affairs No. 63 of October 3, 2019, which regulates the requirements for beaches and bathing water. Dates for taking water samples in 2025: May 21; June 18; July 16; August 13th.

According to the results of the first check carried out on May 21, the water quality on the beach meets the standards – bathing is recognized as safe. The analysis protocol is located at the main entrance to the beach building. Additional information and water quality review are also available on the website of the Estonian Health Department: www.TERVISEAMET.EE/KESKKONNATERVIS/VESI/SUPLUSVESI.

The rescue service on the water is provided by Oü Garant (reg. Number 12533374), the main responsibilities of which include:
• ensuring the safety of visitors to the beach and swimmers
• readiness for rescue work and first aid
• conducting water-rescue operations
• Public order control
