Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has dismissed allegations that there is some agreement with public prosecutor Ljupco Kocevski. He pointed out that in times of such a tragedy, which took place in Kocani, it would be amateurish to continue the process of his replacement and to ignore the entire investigation.

According to Mickoski, if the process of shifting the public prosecutor Ljupco Kocevski continued, they would send a message that they were ignoring the investigation to realize their purpose.

-This said MP Dimitar Apasiev at the parliamentary rostrum, he presented it as you, give it to me. See such scenarios and this type of nebulos that spread, but work is always much simpler than what it looks like. None of us says that he is satisfied with Ljupco Kocevski’s work, but it would have been amateurally untenable if we, in such a case, of such a tragedy as this, we continue with the shift process. Then we what message would we send? That we ignore everything, ignore an investigation and everything that is involved there, to realize our goal. And I don’t think it’s politically experienced and clever, Mickoski said in tonight’s Alfa TV.

Speaking about the tragedy in Kocani, Mickoski said it was angry about all the system failures in recent years, but said there was a group of « rodents » who had tried to abuse the accident to profit politically and told them they would be defeated.

« They now use the anger of the people, which I have said I am sympathetic, and I am as angry as you, as well as many because of all those systemic weaknesses that have occurred decades back and there is no dilemma here and as 99 percent of people who came out first to express their compassion, and secondly, they showed their anger. Now there is a small group of rodents who have tried to make political points and draw attention to themselves – said Prime Minister Mickoski.

Regarding the accusations by MP Dimitar Apasiev, Mickoski said that Apasiev bought three times cheaper office space in downtown Skopje.

-The political party Levica in late November 2024 buys in the center of Skopje office space, basement and ground floor, 420 square meters, at a price with VAT 295,000 euros. I would say or is a gift to achieve some purpose, or the contract has a second part that we do not see, and so I told the organs to check it all. Nelly Left was against executives, but perpetrators do not interfere with this type of property. So that perpetrator who is for that facility is the same perpetrator of Soravia who will be sold for auction there after April 20. Both have the same financial institution that unites them, which is the first investment bank, a bank that operates in the Macedonian banking system and is owned by Bulgarian businessmen – said Mickoski.
