In the middle of March, a book about this prominent medic « Professor Aldona Lukoševičiūtė: doctor, scientist, teacher », consisting of prof. Dalia Giedrimienė, Assoc. Jūratė Vaitiekūnienė, dr. Asta Lignugarienė, prof. Ramūnas Navickas and Edwin Giedrimas.

The book confirms again: prof. A. Lukoševičiūtė – Lithuanian Medical Legend, who created modern medicine.

« We hope that this book will be an example of perseverance, sacrifice for medicine and patient, » said prof. D. Giedrimienė.

The book presents the memories and facts of the professor’s students and former coworkers about how the resuscitation and intensive care department of Kaunas Clinics was developed, the first reanimatologists, the innovative ideas of the professor and the new diagnostic and treatment methods are implemented.

Prof. Vaiva Lesauskaitė states in the review of the book: « The book reaffirms: Prof. A. Lukoševičiūtė – Lithuanian Medical Legend, who has created modern medicine. It is also a thanks to all professor’s colleagues and fellow people who worked together at the origins of cardiological resuscitation. »

In the presentation of the book, detailed material about prof. A. Lukoševičiūtė’s life and work path was presented by dr. A. Lignugarienė. Her student prof. D. Giedrimienė, Dean of LUHS, Faculty of Medicine prof. Andrius Macas, other professor students, coworkers, LSMU and clinic leaders. A minute’s silence honored the co -authors of the book without receiving its presentation. The film about the professor revealed her love for both man and nature.
