IMGW warns against frosts in the second half of May
Warnings include poviats from the Lublin, Lesser Poland, Mazowieckie, Podkarpackie, Podlasie and Warmian-Masurian voivodships. Low temperatures are expected in these areas that can cause frosts. The Institute recommends cautious and tracking messages regarding the development of the weather situation.
The warnings will apply from 23:00 on May 17 to 6:00 am the next day. IMGW emphasizes that the 1st degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that can lead to material losses and the threat to health and life.
IMGW recommendations for residents of endangered regions
The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management appeals to the inhabitants of endangered regions to be careful in connection with the forecasted frosts. It recommends monitoring weather messages and preparing for the possible effects of low temperatures that can affect daily functioning. It is worth protecting plants and paying attention to road conditions that can be difficult by frosts.
