I’m not a big fan of Zelenski
US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he does not consider Volodimir Zelenski for the war in Ukraine, but has continued to criticize the Ukrainian leader, AFP reports.
« I do not consider Zelenski responsible, but I am not at all delighted that this war was triggered. (…) I do not blame him, but I estimate that he did not do the best job in the world. I am not a big fan » (of Zelenski), said the US president of the Oval Office, receiving the head of the Italian Gioria.
On Monday, Donald Trump accused his predecessor Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski of not being able to prevent the Ukraine war.
« President Zelenski and Joe Biden the corrupt did an absolutely horrible job allowing the start of this parody, » Trump wrote on his social social platform. « There were so many ways that he could not start, » continued the leader from the White House, without giving details about how the Russian could be hindered.
The war between Russia and Ukraine is the war of Biden, not his, said Trump, adding that he has only recently taken over his term and that he had no problem in preventing war during his previous term, because Putin respects him.
The US president supports an agreement to put an end to the war and maintains close ties with the Kremlin through his special envoy Steve Witkoff.
