Ilir Meta takes the mandate and is certified, around 11 June he is released
During an interview in the decalogue show, the Vice President of the Party of Freedom and the candidate of the « Great Albania » coalition in Tirana District, Erisa Xhixho, stated that Ilir Meta is expected to be released after the May 11 elections, if he secures the deputy’s mandate.
« Ilir Meta did not prefer to be on the closed lists. He wanted to face citizens directly. For this reason, letters to various people wrote every day, demanding their support by vote, » Jijo said.
According to her, the objective is for Meta to receive 30–40 thousand votes in Tirana.
« From the calculations we have made, there is just 12 to 15,000 votes for him to secure the mandate. But the competition is strong and sometimes even a vote can make the difference in open lists, » she said, adding: « I am convinced that Ilir Meta will be the most voted name in Tirana county. »
Also, Jixho expressed security for the victory of the coalition in Tirana.
« Our coalition will receive 20 seats in Tirana, for that I am sure. »
Asked by journalist Roland Qafoku, if Ilir Meta will be released if he wins the mandate, she said:
« Once he receives the mandate and is certified, within a month, about June 11, he is released. I do not believe that there is any obstacle that can stop this process. On May 11 we win and Albania is liberated. »
