Ilie Bolojan, message of pesah
The interim president of Romania, Ilie Bolojan, sent a message on Saturday on the occasion of the Pesah holiday in which it states that it is a moment when we celebrate not only the past, but also the strength to believe in a more straight and better future.
The message of the interim president was presented by the presidential counselor Cristian Diaconescu, during the ceremony organized at the Coral Temple in Bucharest.
The head of state pointed out that Pesah is a feast of freedom, and in the current international context, marked by tensions and unpredictability, it acquires a special significance.
« On the occasion of the Pesah holiday, I send to the members of the Jewish community in Romania and throughout the diaspora the hottest thoughts of appreciation, along with wishes for health, peace and hope. Pesah is a feast of freedom, but also of memory and faith that liberation, in all its forms, can be done through solidarity, We celebrate not only the past, but also the strength to believe in a better and better future. There are values that have allowed the Jewish people to maintain their identity and ideals and remain an example of spiritual perseverance and rebirth, ”said Ilie Bolojan.
Pesaḥ or Pesach (Hebrew Passes) is the religious feast of the Jewish people and Judaism which symbolizes the liberation from the Egyptian bondage and the exit of Egypt of the sons of Israel led by Moses and, the 40 years of pilgrimage through the desert.
