Igor Biscan: ‘I had a correct relationship with Zdravko’
Then Igor Biscan testified.
– I played in Dinamo twice. I signed my first professional contract with them when I turned 18. I played before that for their football school. At the time were Canjuga and Novosel at the club. I don’t know who I have agreed with the terms of the contract. At the time, I had a burning transfer of 60:40 in my advantage and, when I left, I left that money to the club, since it was financially badly standing and I didn’t even get a salary. That is, Dinamo received transfers compensation, but not on its own account, but it was paid to another account abroad, then I left Dinamo to Greek Panathinaikos where I played until the end of the contract, after which I returned to Dinamo in 2007. Then I got part of my compensation that Dinamo ‘owed’ to me. I agreed directly with Zdravko Mamic. We arranged a meeting at the restaurant. He told me the details of the future contract. The two of us were the two of us at the meeting, and later another person joined us. I didn’t have a manager back then. I was a free agent. Before the agreement with Mamic, I heard that the club had an interest in me. We may have signed the contract a month after the agreement. I signed with Dinamo a basic contract with an agreed salary and a time of contract. There was no talk of division of transfer compensation in the event of my departure abroad – Biscan said, adding that he had remained four years in Dinamo at the time.
He said he had no knowledge that he should have received some amount from Dinamo after signing that contract. The club fully respected the contract and paid him the money into the account. He also said that he knew Mario Mamic and Nikky Vuksan and that they did not participate in the translations of his arrival in Dinamo and the signing of the contract.
– After the expiration of that contract with Dinamo, I signed another contract that was concluded for more form, because I was injured at the time and that contract was on a symbolic amount of money, until the repair of the injury. I planned to continue my career, but it didn’t happen – he added.
Asked by USKOK if he had ever heard of the RealSport Menagement Society, Biscan replied that he had not heard of that society at the time, but that he had learned of him from the media, related to this trial.
– Did you sell your toy rights after leaving Panathanaikos? the prosecutor asked him.
« I didn’t sell anything to anyone, » Biscan said, saying that at the time he played in Dinamo he did not know that Zdravko Mamic had asked some players to leave him his players.
But in the investigation, Biscan said otherwise.
« I have never received any compensation for my toy rights, although I am known that Zdravko Mamic from several Dinamo players then asked him to sign his contracts in English, to which they left his rights to him. Then Mamic said that they were not concerned because in this way they did not renounce their rights but to do the club. »
« I’m staying with that statement, but also what I said today, » Biscan added.
Filip Glavas, defense attorney Zdravko Mamic, asked the witness that when he left Dinamo to Liverpool, he had a manager and who participated in the transfers arrangements, Biscan said that the agent was Ljubomir Barin at the time and that he did not know who represented Dinamo and Liverpool.
– At the request of Zdravko Mamic, I signed some documents that I did not read because he told me that they were irrelevant to me, but that the club means a lot to him. I do not know if I signed the sale of my rights at the time to an agency or company – Biscan added, saying that he did not know what was dealing with at the time, Mario Mamic and Nikky Vuksan or had their foreign companies related to players.
