Igor Atanasoski -Hare and friends donated a « smile » for as many happy children as possible!

While creating « Smile » was our song, and today it will be a gift for all of you, a gift from SOS Children’s Village for as many smiles in this world – project participants at today’s press conference, ahead of tomorrow’s International Family Day.

Famous Macedonian musician and songwriter Igor Atanasoski-Hare, along with ten Macedonian music stars, recorded the song « Smile » as part of a project of SOS Children’s Village, which marks tomorrow’s International Family Day.

Hare is the author of the lyrics and the music of the song, which was filmed in the Studo « Tra La La » by Mite Dimovski, who played on drums, and also appears in the role of producer and arranger. For the guitar, of course Igor was in charge, Bass played by Trajko Simonovski -Taci, while Davor Fodanovski was behind the key. A video was filmed for « Smile », directed by Aleksandar Ristovski-Prince, which was promoted at today’s press conference.

– We celebrate family day, with a new song, « Smile ». We thank the author Igor Atanasoski, who together with 10 top Macedonian music artists: Igor Dzambazov, Pere Knockout, Sarah Mace, Dani Dimitrovska, Antonija Gigovska, Vlatko Lozano, Tamara Todevska, Mija magically beautiful, emotional, warm and sincere song, which will be the symbol of this day. « Smile » is our common message that we care and believe that every child needs and must grow with a smile – say from SOS Children’s Village.

According to Juliana Gapo, National Director of SOS Children’s Village, the family is the main cell of every society – the foundation on which every human life is built.

– The family is not only a community, but the first and most important environment for the child’s development. In it it builds its identity, learns how to love, who to believe and how to deal with the world around you. Family love and stability are indispensable in shaping healthy, confident and responsible young people. When it is missing, the child is exposed to poverty, neglect, emotional instability and marginalization.

Unfortunately, statistics show that about 8,000 children in Macedonia are at risk. 1,029 children are without parental care, 3,994 children live in communities where there are marriage and family problems and another 2,768 children are at another social risk. These figures are not just statistics – they represent thousands of lives, thousands of children’s hearts waiting for support, security and chance for a better future. That is why the 2001 SOS Children’s Village has been committed to accomplishing the mission – not only a child grows up. For these 24 years we have managed to change the lives of more than 5,000 children and young children, allowing them to grow into a secure and caring family environment and to be independent and financially stable in our society. Some of our « smile » – symbolic and real – be a reminder that when we are together, we can change many children.

Igor Atanasoski – Hare recalled how the idea of ​​creating a « governing » was born.

– All things happen when the right time comes. No sooner, no later. Right now, the time has come for a « smile », something precious, and is less common in everyday life.

The main initiator was Ilcho Badarov, Head of Youth Houses at the SOS Children’s Village, who told me about a retired colleague at one of our cafes, who while working on a tree, and when he visits that house today, looking at the big tree, he sees his working life and all the years of the children. Guided by a desire to leave something behind, he suggested the idea, and I accepted it without hesitation. And as I mentioned, the cubes began to line up. It is a great honor for me to do something socially useful, but also a great challenge to make a beautiful song, in Macedonian, that will live and deceive a smile. Worthy of their big jubilee, I wanted to be special – said Hare.

Natasa Krstevska, the popular Mia, on behalf of all project participants, said that herself is considered a sauce friend.

– My collaboration started during the coin, with a variety of engagements, and I was happy to participate in the filming of « Namsevka ». The filming was interesting, flooded with positive emotions and I hope that the children from the SOS Children’s Village, but all the children in Macedonia will feel it – Mia said.
