Igor Angelkov’s « Movie Eye » came out

« Film Eye » came out, the fourth book with Igor Angjelkov’s film essay. The edition is the sixteenth book in the « Ili-or » edition of the publishing house of the same name.
Ten years since the release of the first book of the series « Film.mkd », which won the State Prize for Publication « Mito Hadzivasilev-Jasmin », three years later the author published « Film City » and in 2022 and « Filmotopia ». In all editions, Angjelkov closely follows the events in film art here and in the world and through critical reviews captures the current moment in the seventh art in the first quarter of the third millennium.
Content, the book is divided into several thematic units in which the author refers to all exciting films after the release of « Filmotopia ». Of course, the book begins with the treatment of Macedonian cinematography during this period, follows a view of European and American cinematography over the past few years, and then the part of the film festivals. At the end there are two specialized works featuring music and film lyrics, as well as film jubilees. The central part of the book is dedicated to Austrian filmmaker Ulrich Zaydl, who was last year’s laureate of « Kinnenova » and who on the stage, reading the award, read a « Manifesto » for the state of film art, which will be long relevant and quoted.
