« If you have a purpose, you work to reach it »-the angle-you see the world as it is!

Loredana Bulgaru, a student in the eighth grade at the « Vasile Alecsandri » Theoretical High School in Ungheni, recently obtained the title of champion at the Grand Prix International (2nd edition)-a prestigious dance competition, organized by Adriana Cepoi and Antonciuc Ionuț.

Success did not come by chance. Loredana began to dance at the age of four. He has gone through ballet and modern dance, and for almost two years he has practiced sports dance. « We went to several circles. Some at the Ungheni Culture Palace, others outside this institution, but also in the city of Ungheni, » she says. Currently, he is part of a dance club where coach Cătălina Verejan supports her unconditionally.
« I was pleasantly surprised when the results of the contest were announced. I was glad that my work has finally paid off, » says Loredana. The joy of Victoria was also shared by her teacher: « It was a teamwork, even though I only came out on stage. »
He participated in two dance styles: Latin (cha-cha and jive) and standard (step and slow waltz). For this competition, it has prepared intensely, investing a lot of time and energy. « I was spending a few good hours in the room, even though the workouts are an hour, I was up to 3 hours. Then at home we dedicated time to practice. »
His coach played an important role, giving him not only technical support, but also motivation: « He suggested to follow consecrated dancers to inspire me. » These tips helped her improve her style and gain more confidence in her own strengths.
In addition to dance, Loredana also follows popular singing courses at the « Regina Maria » Multifunctional Cultural Center. She is an active and passionate student, and her artistic performance is harmoniously combined with the good results at school. « The close friends were happy for me, but somehow they knew I had to win, because I am a persevering person, I work hard and I get serious about everything I do, » says modestly.
This success opens its way to new challenges: « This victory will allow me to take an important step – to be inscribed in a higher category and, of course, it also means participating in more important competitions. »

However, asked if he sees his future about the sports dance, Loredana remains sincere and balanced: « As long as I am still in Ungheni, I will do sports dance, because of all kinds of dance it is very close to my soul. I cannot say now if I will continue and make a career of it. »
For young people who want to walk in its footsteps, has a clear and motivational message:
« I suggest them to put a goal, because if you have it, you work to reach it. You plan your time so that you can succeed, and at school, and for your passion. »
Loredana is the living example that perseverance, work and support of others can turn a passion into a performance. And the Ungheni can be proud of young people who, step by step, dance with dance, build their own path to success.
The Grand Prix International, the second edition, was an international dance competition on March 22, 2025 in Iași, Romania. The event was organized by Adriana Adela Cepoi, the founder of the Adverse Dance club in Iași, and Ionuț Antonciuc, administrator Paradis Dance in Falesti, bringing together dancers from various regions in Romania and outside to compete in different dance styles. « Grand Prix is a special project in which we submit a lot of soul for children and dancers. Our goal is to capitalize on the art, to encourage talented young people and to give them the chance to express themselves through dance, » Adriana Odela Cepoi told us. The event included all the dance styles – from the sportsman, the classic, the contemporary, the national and international folklore, to the street dance and cheerleaders – and was open to all ages, from 3 years to adults. An essential element of the competition was the accessibility: the participation fees are kept at a low level compared to other competitions in Romania, to give as many children as possible to get on stage. In addition, this year, free participations were offered to children from placement centers in Brasov, dance enthusiasts.
From the municipality of Ungheni, several artistic groups participated in this competition, obtaining remarkable results.
