If he receives a license for Third Mobile Operator 4IG announces services by the end of 2026
Hungarian 4IG announces that if he receives a license for a third mobile operator, he will start services on the Macedonian market by the end of 2026. In a statement, the Group said today that increased competition will also bring lower prices.
Pal Zandandi, Director of Strategies, Mobile and 5G 4IG said that they have been working on preparations and establishing initial partnerships on the market for several months.
« When we get the license, we will move on to intensive investments and preparations for commercial launch, » Zarandi said in a written statement.
He points out that the Hungarian Group 4IG is currently a market leader in Albania and is actively working in Montenegro. It has revenues of 1.8 billion euros and over 10 million users. The main advantage of 4IG, says Zarandi, is that it is not only a telecommunications, but also an IT -oriented company, so it can expand the services of the Macedonian market.
– We will bring new competition that will stimulate the digital ecosystem. We will establish an advanced 5G high capacity network. It will contribute to greater competition in the mobile market, but also in the domain of fixed internet, as 5G can already be used as an alternative to home internet. Our focus will be mobile telecommunications, but we have other areas in which we hope to be active and encourage growth and innovation -says Zarandi.
ONE Macedonia Telecommunications, founded by the Hungarian Group 4IG, has already submitted a letter with intent to enter the Macedonian market and according to the statement expects it to receive the necessary frequency licenses by the end of the summer.
The preliminary phase in which the companies submitted letters to show interest in the third operator in the network mobile telephony ended on May 16, and depending on whether there are other companies, it will be known whether a public bidding will be announced.
