Icelandic singer Dais Freyr / Day will perform in Riga
Daši Freyr became known to the general public with its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2020, with a song Think about Things. A year later, at the Eurovision Competition of 2021, with a composition 10 Years, Dais ranked 4th, becoming a true pop culture phenomenon, music streaming service Spotify reaching more than 200 million listenings, as well as selling concerts across Europe and the US.
In addition to writing and producing songs, some are also actively involved in making their own music videos with a playful and unique style. His approach is at the same time modern and personal – in his sound, electronic pop music and sincere lyrics, accompanied by visual experiments with irony, nostalgia and vivid images of the aesthetics. Dais creative handwriting is particularly resonating among modern listeners, which appreciates both originality and authenticity.
Freyr was not shy about performing cover versions of other artists, dressing them in their arrangements.
