Icelandair started flying to Nashville
Icelandair launched a flight yesterday to Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Nashville is the eighteenth destination of the company in the United States, where it will fly four times a week until the end of October.
This is stated in a statement from Icelandair.
Collaboration with Southwest Airlines extended
It also says that in connection with the new route, collaboration with US airline Southwest Airlines has been expanded and it will now be possible to book connecting flights with Icelandair and Southwest through Nashville and Denver Airport as well as Baltimore Airport.
It is stated that Southwest operates the most extensive plan of all airlines at Nashville Airport and fly to about 90 destinations in North America. Thus, increased cooperation will open convenient connections from Nashville to a number of destinations in North America.
Five weeks ahead of schedule
« It is very gratifying to add Nashville to our powerful route system and we are particularly pleased with the good reception we have received from customers in this country and on both sides of the Atlantic.
Nashville Airport gave Icelandair a specially marked Gibson guitar to remember the route.
