Ice men will bring cooling

For the next three days, the ice men of Pancracing, Servations and Boniface are being fed, which, according to folk tradition, often bring cooling in the middle of May. After the warm May Day holidays, this one was covered by our places last week. Today it will warm up a little more, and the next three days will not be warm again, but not extremely cold, meteorologists say.

“After warm May Day holidays, the weather was relatively cold last week. On Sunday, this cold is a little interrupted during the day, but it should be said that the morning is quite fresh, but it will be relatively warm during the day, mostly just over 20 degrees, « the meteorologist told STA for STA Brane Gregorcic from the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia (ARSO).

There will be no frost

On Monday, when Pankracia is arguing, there will be more cloudiness again, as well as lower daily temperatures. “But they will not bring any special cold in the morning in the next few days. Morning temperatures will be five to 10 degrees, and the daily ones will be between 15 and 20 in the first half of the week. So it will not be warm, but there will be no pronounced cold. Above all, there will be no frost« Gregorcic emphasized.

The drier weather for now also shows on Thursday, May 15, when Zofka argues, in folk tradition, due to many times rainy weather on this day, also called « Poscana Zofka ».

There are also several proverbs associated with the ice men, such as that if the sun is baking on the pan, the sweet vince expires in the basement. Or that after the world, there is no cold to fear.
