The judges of the Constitutional Court (CCR) rejected on Tuesday, unanimously, the appeal filed by Călin Georgescu, being maintained the decision of the Central Electoral Bureau to invalidate his candidacy for the presidential elections in May.

'Following the deliberations, unanimously, the Constitutional Court rejected the appeals made against the decision of the Central Electoral Bureau no.18D of March 9, 2025 regarding the rejection of the registration of the independent candidacy of Mr. Călin Georgescu in the elections for the President of Romania in 2025, as well as the electoral sign.
