« I think my mission has been accomplished »
Calin Georgescu sent the first message, after the RCC decision to remove him from the electoral fight.
He believes that his « mission » was « accomplished », saying that he exposed « the demon in all his horror. »
« In this campaign, in this call, as I called it, it was not about me. For me you counted the people, not me. It was not and is not about the man Călin Georgescu. It could be any other person ”, said Călin Georgescu, in a video message.
He claimed that « the system does not accept anyone from outside him. »
« That's why I said we don't change the man, but we change the system. Basically, any of you would have been in my place, he could have become president by telling the truth and wishing the good of this country. Of course, however, the system would not have accepted it based on these ideas and on the basis of this discourse. For the first time, in 35 years, I came with you and told the truth. We talked about corruption, about the restricted right of the people, about the humiliations and injustices we are subjected to. And most importantly, I came with the solutions through the country program: food, water, energy. Clear and precise, that is, through ourselves, independent, sovereigns and worthy. I asked for peace between us all. Peace for our country, peace in the world and we asked the system itself to return to the service of people, ”Georgescu continued.
He also claimed that he wanted « Bucharest to be the capital of peace and Romania to be a Switzerland. »
« In order to get there, we need to look at the reality in the eyes. Instead of saying that milk and honey flow, as the politicians of the system, I came in front of you and said that until milk and honey flow, now there is poverty and sadness and I do not want this for my people, « said the former candidate.
« You are the ones who have to choose what you want for the future and I hope that from now on you do it with all your conscience. I think my mission was accomplished, I exposed the demon in all its hideousness, ”added Călin Georgescu.
