– In a sign of respect for the injuries in the dreaded tragedy in Kocani, I prompted the initiative to upload a video with one of the DNA performances at Times Square in New York. The idea was fueled by the strong emotion and the desire to send a message of solidarity, love and unity through the DNA music with which I grew up. The video aired 24 hours, repeating every hour, and drew a lot of attention – from the Macedonian diaspora, but also by passers -by, who were interested in the message and music – Biljana shared.

She has been a fan since the very beginning of the musical duo DNA composed of Andrei and Pancho.
– I grew up with them – their music accompanied me through beautiful and various life situations. I attended many of their performances, especially those with a humanitarian character. I have many memories, but the strongest impression left their sincerity and closeness to the audience. With this initiative I felt that although we are still connected through the emotions and values we share – emotionally speaks Biljana Simakoska.

Simakoska also fulfilled Andrew’s desire

Through this broadcast she shared that she was sending several messages.
– First, that we must not forget those we lost; That music has the power to unite us, and especially our Macedonian music, and to fulfill the desire of Andrew, who in many interviews has said he would live in New York. Because they deserve to be heard and seen, even in one of the most famous places in the world. Through the memories, the victims will live forever – underlines Simakoska.
The Macedonian musical duo has been in DNA for years, but it will remain a favorite of the Macedonian audience no matter where it is.
