The mayor of Craiova, Lia Olguţa Vasilescu, said on Thursday that he had a discussion with the mayors of Dolj County and everyone said they want the party to remain in opposition, mentioning that he does not think that the PSD is desired in the Government.

« I do not think we want us in the Government. I saw conditions put, I saw again discussions about what ministries should take the PSD, digitalization and so on. Votes in the parliamentary elections and has the highest number of parliamentarians ”, said Olguţa Vasilescu, at Antena 3.

Questioned if he is not afraid of a hemorrhage in Parliament from the PSD elected officials, if the party decides to stay in opposition, he said: « We are not afraid, as we are not afraid of anticipated elections. Locally, you know that it does not bother us, because we think we will get the same number of votes that we had a year ago. « 

It also rejected the idea of ​​taking over the position of prime minister.

Linked the option of the PSD Dolj organization regarding the opposition, in government, or the support of a minority government, the mayor of Craiova showed that the organization, like her, is waiting for these negotiations with President Nicuşor Dan.

« If I were cynical, I would say let’s see what Romania looks like without PSD, to see if you can live better. But they are not. I want to wait for these negotiations, to see what is the best for Romania, » said Lia Olguţa Vasilescu.
