I cannot guarantee that peace will be closed in a week or month / day

« We will try to make peace as long as it will be needed. This does not mean that I can guarantee you that the agreement will be reached within a week or a month, » the US Secretary of State told a airplane on a plane to Miami journalists after a visit to South America.

« I just can’t set a deadline because it is not up to us. It depends on the Russians and the Ukrainians, » Rubio said.

« It also depends on our partners in Europe, which has sanctions, which I think must take into account any final agreement, » he added.

The readiness to reach such an agreement will be known, « when the time will come for signature, » but « we have not yet reached this phase, » the Secretary of State said.
