Katerina Stoykova’s books are important to describe as a complete architecture of topics and ways of achieving them. I have a vague memory of Catherine’s glowing face at a competition in Stara Zagora since the late 1980s, and before that I often met her name in Rodna Rech magazine, cult at that time. I took three issues of the magazine since 1988, when Katya was at 17, a second year at TSA « Kolyo Ficheto » in Burgas. In issue. 1 published the story « The Morning of the Pale Puddles », in issue. 7 is the poem « One Thousand and One Night », in which the heroine decides to escape with the train and sits in the place for the disabled. In issue. 10 There are even two of her texts in the « First Steps » section.
Poetry as a delicacy
The poetry in the seven published in Bulgarian books of Catherine is strong, deeply self -recognizable until the moments of « coming out of the light ». I do not think of any similar BG poetry of psychological trauma with a similar concentrate of talent and mind.
In 2009 (Torch Express) with a very clear drawing. It draws the fields of pain from the injury, the points of the crises that have arisen, the plot of the intensive consciousness of the heroine. It all begins with the choice of the grandmother with a reflection in generations and the grandfather with whom the child raises, the escape from the father, the perversions of the social Kazarma, the disease and the death of the mother’s victim, her funeral and the beyond message, the faith only « for every occasion ».
Text from this book skips into the next one – « Sus -Kom »the disease of the people who have left people. Sections and lack of integrity where there is no exit from the tar. « Involved Number » from 2011. At first glance, words are discussed, not things, actually turns out to be the opposite. Thus, Katerina Stoykova schemes a comprehensive novel about the processes of self -discovery, filling in the various empty niches with each new book. The figure of the therapist coincides with the victim of therapy. A story of the abuse of power and the attempt of healing that can bring to the freedom to be you without the threat of rejection, without the foreign reprimanding look, but most of all without the terrible executioner you carry.
The title is in the poem « Short Parable of Love » by « American delicacies » with the subtitle « Talk to Denitsa, 4 years »: « Denitsa: We are hunting the cows of God. Others. «
