Hunger

With the word hunger, I first recalled a professor of history, who defined hunger as a state when people die due to lack of food. It is not the same hunger that comes to us if we have not eaten half the day, and the light years is far from the hunger for knowledge and love that is usually felt by those with full stomachs.

Modern linguistic use shows, above all, the importance of food shortage: hunger suffers, dies, hunger is quenched, in addition to hunger, thirst, malnutrition, poverty, hunger can be terrible, wolf, accompanied by diseases, cold, war…

Looking at history, we see that the hunger that causes it is generally due to two factors. The first factor is diseases that affect plants and animals, e.g. Potato hunger in Ireland in the 19th century, where mold destroyed potatoes.

Another factor is wars and political manipulations, typical cases are glador in the 1930s in Ukraine and Hunger in Gaza, which unfortunately we follow these days. The causes of these hunger are people who want to control and regulate the world at their will, but everything they achieve in it are chaos and accident.

In recent years, we have learned that wars do not end overnight and that, at least on the one hand, there is usually no interest to end the war. The only thing that ends in the current conflicts that we do not see end are human lives – first those who just want to live.
