Hungarians. Viktor Orban banned the import of Polish meat
From Friday, May 9 in Hungary, the import of cattle, pigs and beef and pork from Poland has been banned. This is the decision introduced by the ordinance of Prime Minister Viktor Orban. As PAP adds, the restriction also applies to feed for farm animals.

The regulation included information that the ban on importing animals and meat from Poland, as well as from Croatia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Romania, is a mirror response to restrictions previously introduced by these countries in connection with the epidemic of pimples in Hungary. PAP emphasizes that although the text shows that Poland and other countries have blocked the import of Hungarian meat to protect animals on its territory, the Prime Minister of Hungary considered « unlawful trade restrictions », and found the activities of these countries to be « artificial interference international trade ».

Polish meat will not go to Hungary
The ban on importing meat from Poland is valid until the end of August this year. The prime minister’s regulation allows Hungary to transit the goods covered by the goods, provided that it is previously reported, and will not remain in the territory of the country for more than five days.
PAP reminds that the epidemic of pimples in Hungary, which is at the basis of the decision to ban the Hungarian meat to us, broke out at the beginning of April and these are the first cases in this country since 1973. Among the actions taken by the authorities, which would prevent the disease to be spreading, there was a ban on imports of animals to regions where the bonfire was detected, and their export to the designated place slaughter. The pimples are a highly contagious and dangerous viral disease for animals. The disease also attacks animals living wild, but does not pose a threat to human life.
